anti-pakistan?

First of all I'd like to say I'm Indian before i get verbally abused.

I absolutely HATE movies like this where they show Pakistanis as being evil and Indians as being good. With the current political climate and the long-lasting rivalry between the 2 countries, movies like this just promote prejudice and malice. Why can't they follow the example of "Main Hoon Na" where the bad guy was Indian too and efforts were made to bring the 2 countries closer together. What is the point of teaching your children to hate your neighbour for no good reason? Movies like this should be banned for promoting hate.

Only saving grace of the whole movie was one song, "Piya Bawri" and her dancing.

I am a Pakistani and I appreciate your comments. I made the mistake of watching this film and it has left psychological scars on me. THat is how hateful and malevolent this movie was towards Pakistan and Pakistanis.

The devil directed this film.

I understand what you are saying, Tulz, and that's the reason I avoided the film. From what I understand from your post, you've seen the film and it indeed has this "anti-Pakistan" kind of feel?

One thing I don't understand is the high rating...

reply

Wow, a lot of Indians must really hate Pakistanis then huh.

reply

This movie got a high rating because from what i know most Indians like it...

I mean: look at the numbers of 10 given to this movie... there are also some 1's who i think are given by mostly Pakistani's

Conclusion: there are way more Indians in the world than Pakistani's and thats why this movie (and all these movies) get a high rating...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I saw that one officers(?) of the pakistani army did try to help the prisoners. He unfortunatly was replaced by the villain(warden.
So by this I could make out that not the country or race is evil, but people themselfs are(if they choose to)! It's because of people not thinking with their heads, but their hearts that they generate hate.
Anyhow I don't hate pakistani's by seeing this film.
I liked the movie for the suspends and action not for the anti-paki theme.

First of all, I'd like to say that I highly appericiate the opinions of our Indian brothers. Anti-Pakistan (in India) OR anti-India (in Pakistan) films should NOT be made, or should be Banned. "Deewanan nol" my freind, what u say is right, BUT many people, many pakistanis can interpret this as, the film says that the Majority is evil, and then u have few good guys who tries to help them, thats a miniority. Often in anti-pakistan films, u have few guys who either help the indians, or tries to help. They are often against their own system, or their own goverment. As I understand most of these movies have a good rating because of thier own value as a film, it can be everything form major starcast( LOC ), to good camerawork, cinematography, editing, good acting etc. It's a new trend now I've noticed Im not a typical bollywood fan actually, but anyways. There are films were they have characters who portray pakistanis, but their not mainly focused on ind-pak relation,. These films usually are pro Ind-pak freindship films, like a little hidden message. For example: Namaste London. Or an bit older film "I'm proud to be Indian". Another minus in making anti-pak films are the actors's image. Most of the Bollywood stars are respected and loved in Pak, just like in India. Ofcurse when they star in such films their image is shattered. Sunny Deol is a fine example. People in pak liked him specially punjabis. Another important thing is, these films aren't blockbusters in India either. I mean Border was a huge hit if Im not wrong, but it was like one of the first of its kind. Pro-India films on the contanrary side are often very good, one my favorites is "Hindustani/Indian", the one with Kamal Hassan, (great actor), big hit in pak, why?, because of the similarities of these two countries, same issues, same problems, etc. Again anti-pak OR anti-India, because there are some anti-india pakistani films too, but the first ones made it good cause the issue was somehow new but then again, after that, they went flop. Sorry for a long reply, and tnx 4 reading.

It was logically absurd to separate a country called Pakistan from India. This partition of India into India and Pakistan was one of the biggest blunders of mankind. That separation actually never took place completely and is haunting both the nations in the form of Kashmir. Kashmir problem will be never solved because its impossible to divide India and Pakistan. Pakistan should be included in India and there should be no separate country called Pakistan.
Indians and Pakistanis are subject to emotional blackmail by cunning politicians and innocent soliders from both sides are being killed in the name of patriotism.

first of all people should understand that movies like these rn't meant to offend anybody or portray Pakistanis as a bunch of supposed "pot heads"...these movies r not meant to insult Pakistanis but promote Indian patriotism...these movies r not trying to say that Pakistan is bad but rather that India isn't bad..n if u r smart u will understand the difference between trying to prove someone else bad and trying to prove yourself as not being bad. Secondly, how in the world can a country who has the second largest Muslim population in the world ,after Indonesia, possibly insult Muslim religion...the answer is simple it isn't. To whoever who thinks movies, like this one, are anti-something is very sadistic. I know some movies intentionally do this but this one in particular doesn't. I mean if you thought so deeply about everything you would go crazy cuz you would start looking for such things...For example you would think that sports shouldn't be played cuz they are discriminatory or books shouldn't be written cuz they make somebody a bad guy and another a gud guy...plz ppl help with the things that are a priority like literacy or child prostitution...

i m not trying to defend anyone or insult anyone
