According to an article I found,
"“8 Simple Rules” regular Kaley Cuoco reports her upcoming indie film, “Debating Robert Lee” will show the industry a decidedly different side of her. “I play a dark, very emotional character,” says Cuoco. “It’s about a debate team in high school and we’re all just really screwed up. I talked to the director recently and he told me, ‘Wait till you see this…the movie’s going to change your life.’ I’m very excited.” Cuoco makes it clear that “Debating Robert Lee” is not just another film about dysfunctional teens. “It’s basically a movie about putting your differences on the table and being open-minded and able to talk about them without fighting and looking down on one another. And it’s about listening and knowing that young people can say what they want to say and stand up for what they believe.” The actress – who also stars in ABC Family Channel’s July 25th “Crimes of Fashion” telepic – says “Debating Robert Lee” is scheduled to hit theaters in October."

This is awesome. I think it is interesting, at least if that article had a shred of truth to it, and Luke Edwards and Daniel Letterle are in the smae movie. How could I not love it? (I am a Newsies and CAMP obsessor.)

shareI was at the same "special" screening and it was awesome. I haven't seen any other movie address issues like this one has through teenagers. The interactions between the debators portrays a vivid picture of life and death. It's a must see. I see an oscar coming!
