Drama

THis is one of those movies that aspires to be dramatic but ends up being a campfest. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dramatic. I would posit that it's improvised but there was obviously a script. But so much DRAMA - these kids go from zero to 60 in 2 seconds and that's what makes the film laughable. It's faux, camp, drama. Whoever wrote it, wrote it as if they were suffering from ADD - there's small talk, an EXPLOSION OF DRAMA!, and then some mibor drama, and then RESOLUTION! Bang! Everything is all better! It's a script written by a member of the "TV generation". In this script, everything is resolved and nothing is resolved in 90 minutes. It's a weird, plastic experience. I could make a list of the plotlines this movie starts and then does nothing with and how everything is anti-climactic, but I'm bored writing about the film.
