Oh well.

I assume most may say this move was lame... I however enjoyed it. It reminded me somewhat of The Believer, which I enjoyed alot. I didn't know those events were true, I never herd about them until I watched this movie.

I wonder how it reminded you of the believer?? The only parallels I noticed were that each dealt with hate (though in the believer it only showed hate towards the Jews--don't get me wrong I like that movie even more than this one)and jews in new york. And both were based on true stories. I guess I answered my own question?

I liked how it didn't shy away from the realities of ignorance and racism in EACH community. I liked the docudrama style reaction shots from residents they interspersed. The actual documenatry was nice on the DVD too (shows all four of the real life people that they based the major characters on, and where they are now). The foursomes dance troupe did seem a little hokey at times, but that was really what happened and it really was an innovative and effective way of combating the interraacial hatred so I guess I should just not be so judgmental.

I don't really care about the message, I don't think a movie having a good message justifies a movie being completely lame. I'm sorry but I thought this movie was soooooooo cheesy.
