Now I Know Why...

...I've made it to 42 years old, and NEVER saw, nor even heard of this movie. For a "Christmas" cartoon special, this had very little to do with Christmas, or any holiday, for that matter. This story could have taken place anytime of the year. It just so happens that all of this occurs around Christmas time. There wasn't any very funny moments, no memorable songs, and the only thing I found really interesting was the live action intro and outro with Danny Thomas.
I found this DVD for 5 bucks at Big Lots, and while I wasn't really at all impressed with it, I DID enjoy the animation. The backgrounds and 3-D effects were done with taste. That was impressive.
That said, this cartoon was NO classic.

Trust me,

Amen.
I got this movie in a package for my daughter along with others that would be considered classics - Frosty, Rudolph, etc - but this Cricket nonsense was almost unwatchable.
Don't waste your time.

the best part was when her boyfriend came back and saw she was blind, and KNEW it was because of him...
