Two questions about the film

First of all, the running time is listed as 2 hours, but the R2 DVD I saw only lasts 1 hr 47 min, even allowing for the faster PAL frame rate it still seems to have been cut, can anyone confirm this?

And does anyone know why Gustavo Munoz and one other actor (I can't remember who) have a cross beside their names in the end credits? I thought maybe they had died but I don't see anything confirming that on this site.
