The Marching Morons?

Certainly the premise of Idiocracy is drawn from Kornbluth's dystopian short story. Lacking, of course, is the hyper-intelligent elite minority enslaved by the inertial mass of the idiot majority, & the protagonist's ruthless solution.

Of course both Mike Judge & CM Kornbluth draw from inaccurate assumptions—stupid people, as opposed to those who are truly developmentally disabled, can have perfectly intelligent children. Stupidity is more of a lifestyle choice than genetic predisposition.

if your parents are stupid and they raise you, chances are higher that you will also end up stupid.

imagine a trump voter raising a kid, what chance does that kid have realistically?

A Trump voter actually raising children .... oh, you have a dark mind, friend:(

I'll argue that. Rather, I'll let SCIENCE, possibly the most highly respected peer-reviewed journal in the sciences, argue that. http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2014/10/genes-dont-just-influence-your-iq-they-determine-how-well-you-do-school

Looks like part Marching Morons/Little Black Bag, but also part Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron"
