'F' word

I noted they say the f word a decent amount of times on this show. When are you allowed to say that word on Canadian TV? Or, was it on Canada's brand of cable?

A couple scenes with drugs, including one where heroin is being cooked, is pretty explicit too. Both wouldn't pass muster on basic t.v. in the states, at least before 10 P.M., and I doubt after it.
