heh..well..it transcended, and now we're the ones wondering. Also, what's the stuff (you know the glowing, moving...mm...drops?) they have on the tip of their pencils?

reply

I haven't noticed that which ep? I only noticed the drops on their heads and how they turn blue on top when something crazy or embarrasing happens. I see that in a lot of animes.

In the first episode, when two of the bullies are discussing their nicknames, you can see it there, they both have pencils in their mouths with that glowing, moving stuff on the end tip ,and also happens in some other episodes, I' ve watched up till ep.6

I bought the first season dvd of cromartie. If you look at the extra features and stuff you can find alot of hints.

The hum song's title is called "Ningen Nante".

In english it can be translated "Who cares about humans" or "Humans are insignificant".

And as for those things they have in their mouth's I think they are suppossed to represent cigarettes. In Japan they have different tv censorship or something. I'm not really sure on that one, though.

Now I know what your're talking about. Hayashida had what looked like a piece of straw in his mouth.

What's up with the pompadour hair styles on this show? They seem to get bigger with every ep!

I think I know what the blobs of stuff might be. Have any of you ever seen those tubes of plastic (like a toothpaste tube) that come with the little straws for blowing bubbles? You stick a little dab of this liquid plastic stuff on the end of a straw and blow and you get a big multi colored ballon. They last for about two seconds- the stuff smells terrible (or good if you like those petroleum/ chemical odors). Anyway- that is what I thought of immediately when I saw em on the show. Especially when I saw the one kid who had the chewed up one, cos there is no bringing the ballon back to life when it pops and it just ends up a chewed up looking blob like his did. Yeah- I get lame stocking stuffers. :-)

Boycott shampoo- demand the REAL poo!

reply

uh yeah, the little bubbles are meant to be stabs at censorship... sometimes things that are only slightly offensive are censored for no reason at all. they censored the tips of the ciggarettes, which you can see in the Manga as being ciggarettes.

even some japanese porn is completely uncsencored...but the blur out the pubic hair for some reason?

most of these things are all explained in the dvd.

I remember an article from a while back that talked about pubic hair and mosaics. It's considered obscene to show pubic hair but a completely shaved area is ok.? Also something to do with the Japanese men like sub traits in women and a shaved area implies that. It was a very long drawn out explanation and too much to remember.

Uh, I kinda thought it was like by Queens, due to the continuos appearance of Freddie and how he was the one Mechazawa heard it from at the start.

I sign only thy elder cheese of neverwinter. Etc.

lmao this starts a cromartie thread and it ends up talking about pubes XD

reply

Hahahha. Humming and pubes have always gone together. Ever had anyone hum on your bawls?

Original song "Ningen nante" by Takurou Yoshida:

The show's opening title song "Jun" is also by Yoshida.
His photos are shown in the episode.
The song title was shown at the end of the show on the original Japanese airing of the episode.
