WHAT THE HELL HAPPENS????
im just wondering what happens in the end of the movie why the blue leave? can anyone tell? maybe its because they love each other?
shareThe way I understood the explanation in the series was, the planet Earth was a living entity, and when mankind overpopulated and was harmful to the environment, the Earth itself created the Blue to eliminate mankind. Then, when there were scarcely any humans left on Earth and it was the Blue that was overpopulating, the Earth did the same to the Blue.
shareI was under the impression that the big blue we see in the final episode was a new kind that was supposed to replace all the others(we only see one of these in the show but I think there was more to come). They say in the show that the blue rapidly evolve to face a new threat, the new threat was the Sleepers and their Double Edges. Also these new blue use speed, agility, and two really big blades to fight, just like the Double Edges, hence my thinking they were made specifically to fight them. As for why all the blue came together in one place, I think that was to lure the Sleepers to that spot so that the new blue could finish them off. Then in the end when Yuji "talks" to the earth, he makes peace with it and no new blue are made.
