How Come...?

Does anyone know if there is a specific reason why thier looks changed in season 2?

reply

I believe it was because Nickelodeon wanted the animation up to their standards nowadays. That and because season one was more rushed.

reply

Ok thanks!

reply

No problem! : )

reply

Are you a "Rugrats" fan too?

reply

Yep! I think both series are great. : )

reply

OMG! Me too! I don't judge, all seasons have there great episodes to me and All Grown Up is pretty Funny!

reply

Yeah, same here! I don't know why everyone hates the Dil and Kimi episodes so much. They're awesome!

And yeah, All Grown Up is funny! And they have some really cute outfits, too! : )

reply

Finally someone who feels the same way! So, Whats ur Fave episode of Rugrats and then of All Grown up?

reply

Oh, I know! Why can't anyone just accept the series as a whole anymore? That's a good question! For Rugrats (after a ton of thinking), I'd have to say it's a tie between 'Barbeque Story' and Hurricane 'Alice'. And for All Grown Up, I'd have to say 'Runaround Susie'. : )

reply

For Rugrats I got A gazillion favorites but, the one that I said was my favorite when I first ever saw it was "Angelica for a day" or "Word of the day". Remember, "Ms.Carol thinks were all little ----" I laughed so hard even when I was six and though it meant Idiot! For all grown up I'd say "Project Chuckie" Chuckie is my fave boy and this ep really proves how geeky he is and will stay. Ya know, I really wish they would make seasonal sets. I would buy those in a Heartbeat! The little girl I babysit loves Rugrats and I've only shown her the first 2 movies and like 4 eps! Her Mom wouldn't let her borrow cuz she thought it was like adult humor, but then I explained it to her and she said that she can just watch it when she comes over my house. She then started to cry and was like "I don't want to wait Wah! I watched at Mariana's and I liked it and and I wanna borrow it and watch now! Wah! I like Rugrats!" Just imagine that in the form of a 3 year-old crying! If I had a seasonal set I could show her all of it! Yay! Ok I'll shut up now!

lol I'm actually in the process of recording every (regular airring) Rugrats episode in order by season! Talk about me being a loser! lol So far I've been getting a lot of the old ones and a few Dil ones, but Nicktoons Network doesn't seem to air the Kimi episodes too much. : ( Also, I'm recording all the uncommon episodes as well, such as the Hanukkah special onto a seperate disc.

And yeah, "Word of the Day" is hilarious! I used to think the word was 'idiot', too! Then again, my family stayed very G-rated around me so I only knew of two swear words. Sad thing is, I was around eight or nine... lol

"Project Chuckie" is a great episode, too! But it's been so long since I've seen it! I had it recorded on a VHS tape, but it somehow disappeared (along with some other episodes...

lol My little cousins were the same way at that age! I'd bring over my Rugrats VHS tapes to their house and they'd watch them for hours (and I was right there with them!). They're eleven now, but they still like the show. But hey, I'm eighteen and I watch it every day! : )

reply

We don't have a DVD recorder and the room we only get nicktoons network in is the living room and the only place I can record VHS is in my bedroom! U r so lucky! And u are so not a loser! I'd probably be doing the same and I'm 16! Gosh It's great that the're are still some people out there that appreciate Rugrats for all it's worth as much as me. I thought I was the only one! Me and my friend April give this girl from Kenya a hard time cuz she's like "I never liked Rugrats" and everyone else in the group is just like "Man what you talkin bout. Rugrats was so seriously the show that every kid watched in the 90's!"

reply

Yeah, Rugrats is great! I actually have some friends who enjoy it, too, but not as much as me! ; ) I unfortunately missed a big chunk of Rugrats in the '90s because my mom wouldn't let me watch it until about 1998 or so (she didn't want me to be like Angelica). I had to beg and beg her to let me watch it! And once I did, I was so glad I did! The first episode I saw was 'Under Chuckie's Bed/Chuckie is Rich'. I'll probably always remember that! And just a few months after that, The Rugrats Movie came out so that was really exciting for me! I even collected all The Rugrats Movies toys from Burger King! lol

reply

When Rugrats in Paris Came out I was in 3rd grade and we made a Rugrats club at my school! Then that summer was when they did "All Growed Up" now That's a moment I'll never forget! Speaking of moments, I thought for sure that at least one of the rugrats moments would make it to the top ten of the list, but I guess not!

reply

Rugrats in Paris came out when I was in sixth grade. Unfortunately for me, everyone by then was "too cool" to watch Rugrats... My friends and I at least still talked about it!

I remember the Rugrats top ten thing clearly! I loved how Nickelodeon would tell us which episode was about to air and what number it was before the episode began!

reply

"All Grown up" came out when I was in 6th grade and me and my Best Friend were the only one's excited for it. the special "All Growed up" came on right b4 I went into 4th grade and the whole house was silent. So many of my fun, good memories involve "Rugrats"!

reply

"All Growed Up" came out right before seventh grade for me. I remember spending that whole day watching and recording 'The Rugrats First Firstathon', the marathon Nick was having in celebration of it. And later on "All Grown Up" came out when I was a freshman. Lucky for me, my friends enjoyed it! I'm not sure about anyone else in the grade though...

reply

All that matters is if you like it!

reply

Yep, I completely agree!

BTW, were you able to catch AGU this morning, too? I was until a friend called during the 9:00 AM showing. But lucky for me, I recorded it! ; )

reply

It was on this morning? Dammit, Pardon my french. What ep was it?

reply

No, the morning before. Lately it's been coming on Thursday mornings. The episode was 'Lost at Sea'.

reply

Oh man I've never seen that one! Was it good?

reply

Yeah, it's really good! Jonathon replaced Charlotte as CEO! So Charlotte decided to spend more mother-daughter bonding time with Angelica, much to her dismay. It's a terrific episode!

reply

Oh I saw the beginning of that ep! Man! I still can't believe I'm 16 and am totally in love with rugrats! Now, If I could just find a cute guy like that! Do you have and e-mail or a livejournal?

reply

lol I know what you mean! All the guys around here are kind of, well, you know. lol I don't have a livejournal, but I'll PM you my e-mail. : )

reply

Lol! Here too! Does PM mean private message?

reply

reply

And yeah, like he said, PM means Private Message. ; )

reply

Woohoo!

reply

Good question! I actually got Rugrats in Paris on DVD for Christmas so when I have time, I'll try and check for you. : )

reply

I only have a recorded version of Rugrats in Paris, I would love to own on DVD, though! Maybe they'll do a tenth anniversary for The Rugrats Movie! I really, reall, really, want them to release the show by volumes! Maybe they could even include the Rugrats: Still babies after all these years special/documentary it only aired once! Or maybe for it's 20th anniversary nick will air every ep of both series I'b be so busy taping them all!

reply

Rugrats in Paris is on DVD at Toys R Us for only about $8! The Rugrats Movie was there as well for the same price. : ) I'd love to see the documentaries again! Not only 'Still Babies After All These Years', but also the making of the Rugrats films as well.

reply

Awesome!

reply

Luckily we were able to pick up the DVDs just before the Christmas rush! Hopefully if you get them, the stores will still have them in stock!

reply

Yeah........Just remember when Rugrats was that popular!

reply

[deleted]

lol I could never forget those moments! I can still remember the original promos for 'The Rugrats Movie'! My favorite (if anyone remembers this) was when the camera zoomed in on an old TV bouncing around and all of a sudden, the Rugrats burst out with the Reptar wagon and 'The Rugrats Movie' was on Chuckie's shoes. Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen that preview for ten years now!

reply

[deleted]

I've actually never seen 'Child's Play' before. But I do know what it's basically about. So is it any good?

reply

[deleted]

Was up u guys sorry I have been on in a while, skool man!

reply

Wow, I'm just going back to school today! Anyway, not too much is really going on here. I'm having a sleepover this weekend and I'm going to a party next weekend, but that's really about it. How's school been? : )

reply

[deleted]

In a way, I'm homeschooled. But for me, I do the homeschooling program at my local school. That way, I can still be with my friends. I've also done full-fledged homeschooling as well. : )

reply

That's cool! I'm actually in Las Vegas right now! Anyone Remember the Rugrats episode "Vacation" That's what I kept picturing the whole time! And the little girl I babysit's parents said she can't watch Rugrats and they've never seen the show! I got a little mad and haven't watched it in a while, but now I wanna watch All grown up and some how I'll convicne them to let her watch it because I know she likes the show! It's practically made 4 lil kids! Kiss off man! Sry anyway how r u guys? any new Rugrats/All grown up news!?

reply

I've been there before! We had to stop at their airport on the way back from Los Angeles to Houston when I was four. We were only there for a few hours, but it still counts! ; ) And yeah, 'Vacation' is an awesome episode!

Good news for AGU! Nickelodeon is about to air it daily starting next week at 6:30 AM EST. : D

reply

Omg how'd u finf out! and Yes! and any word on seasonal sets and also Rugrats is fine for a 3 year-old 2 watch right. Sry i know that was run-on sentence!

reply

I saw the schedule on tvguide.com and nick.com. They both confirm it for at least the next two weeks! : )

No, I haven't heard anything on DVDs in quite a while unfortunately. And I don't really see a problem with a three-year-old watching Rugrats. Some parents are just over-protective. My mom wouldn't let me watch it until I was about nine! O_o

reply

Wicked coolness!

reply

I didn't get to see the all grown up episode this morning witch one was it?

reply

How come she never replied?
