Which is better: All Grown Up or Rugrats?

Personally, I thought "All Grown Up" was an alright show, but I grew up with "Rugrats" so I'm going with "Rugrats." Besides, "Rugrats" was a bit funnier and more creative than "All Grown Up" but I still liked "All Grown Up." So, which show do you think was better?

reply

I think All Grown Up, because I related more to it.
It was closer to my favorite nick show, As Told By Ginger and it was more closer to my age.
To be honest, after the first movie and around the time Kimi and Dill arrived the show kinda went downhill... it was less entertaining and some of the episodes were downright boring or stupid whereas they used to be creative and fun with great in humor such as the REptar musical!

I've always been a huge Phil fan so when he got older I realized he and I were alot alike, although I couldn't help notice that he seemed at first to be more like Carl Foutley... which is what Dill became more like.. so they had to change Phil so he was less 'weird' and 'gross' because Dill was going to be weird and gross like Carl Foutley and unfortunately it seems Klasky-csupo has gone down hill since, because I haven't seen anything new come out of that studio in a loooong time. For a while there they were THE animation company.. but now it seems they've gone out of business or something.

I heard that Klasky-Csupo has shut down their company, but I'm not too sure on that because I thought they just recently made a new show, but I can't remember the show's name though. But, yeah, I always liked As Told by Ginger.

reply

Yeah I thought they had closed down too.

I THINK Klasky is doing movies, apart from the company.

I'm just really curious what actually happened to the company. THey were on top of the world when it came to animation with nothing but hit shows and FEW competitors that came close to touching them.

Were they mismanaged into bankruptcy?

Honestly, it would be like waking up tomorrow and hearing that all the CSI shows were being cancelled.
People would wonder what the hell happened.

Yeah, I remember Klasky used to make the most popular cartoons during the 90s. Even the majority of Nicktoons made during the 90s were made by Klasky. It's really sad though to see such a great company go downhill over the years.

Rugrats, easily. More iconic. That was the first Nick show I had probably fell in love first and I have so many fond memories of watching the show as a little kid in the 90s. I always thought Chuckie and Tommy reminded me of myself and my best friend in elementary school, and Angelica reminded me of myself as a little girl who grew up as spoiled and as an only child. Her attachment with Cynthia reminded how I attached I was with my stuffed animals and Barbie.

Simply me.
