kriemhild and poison
I thought the poison was to be his death, but now I am wondering if it was a love potion. Because I thought he loved Brunnhild. Please someone explain.
shareWell, If its the same as Wagner's "Ring des "Nibelung" (which I've studied and listened to all the way through twice) it was a potion of oblivion, or a love potion to make Siegfried fall in love with her and forget about Brunnhilde, so Gunther, Kriemhilde's brother can woo Brunhilde and marry her.
I'm actually watching it at the moment though, so I'll update if it's any different.
