Help me out here please

Okay, I'm probably unforgivably uptight. But at the beginning of the movie, when Dave's date meets him at the theater and kisses him, and then later when they're all having a bite and she says they have been dating even though Dave says they're not, would you go out with Dave after that? I'm not sure I would, although I have to say, how would one know if he were free? So I guess I can see how Rafi would do so. But, still, I think I might worry I was intruding on someone else's turf.
