I found the first half very boring and came close to shutting it down. After watching the whole thing and thinking it over I came to this conclusion.

What if the leading man was never in this movie? After all, we didn't really need him. He was more a piece of furniture than anything else and actually contributed very little. As soon as he left the the flick picked up the pace somewhat and got a bit better. Not by much, but a bit.

Overall, I found the picture totally not scary. However, it did supply it's fair share of belly laughs. Having said that, I still wouldn't recomend renting or buying it unless you find it in the dollar bin.

His character was a selfish prick. What kind of creep runs out on his sick wife who's supported him while he tried to get his writing career going? I hope he failed miserably when he got to L.A. Considering he went with the maid's even bigger loser of a boyfriend that is quite likely. They can sit around for the rest of their lives getting drunk and talking about how someday they'll make it big while their kidneys shut down on them.
