Lars' dad was pretty critical of ....

Lars' dad was pretty critical of the music Metallica had been composing for their upcoming album profiled in this documentary ... As if he, the hippie freak, had any metal credentials! ...

Hippie? I think he might be too old to be a hippie... I think he was a warlock.

If Lars' dad read your post, he'd say "Delete that."

HAHAHA
GOOOD
haha, whenever I want to delete something I say "deeleete that"
haha

reply

He was right, hey should have deleted the whole mess they call St.Anger.

I actually admired him for telling the truth, even if it hurt. Im sure METALLICA is surrounded by 'yes men' all day long. Lars's father was not gonna just say 'yes' to make Lars happy!

He was absolutely right on that song though, it was horrid.

Maybe good for a weird side band or something but not for Metallica.

Delete that is right on the money

It was a great intro to the album. I thought it wasca bit different; but I liked it. It's not about telling the truth because that's all opinion. I, for one, loved that piece of music. They were inspired by Sigor Ros.

It's quite often good to get an outsider to give feedback, the father gave honest feedback when probably a lot of people around them were talking about how good it was. Doesn't matter if he was into metal or not, you can still get an idea of whether something sounds good or not even if you don't actually like it.
