Stuart Townsend. Supposededly he was too young & didn't have the right presence on the screen. Viggo Mortenson or sen? was great.
shareSuart Townsend. He was much too young for the role (Aragorn is 87 but looks 35-45). That is the main reason he wasn't put into the film. They called Viggo Mortenson and he agreed to take over. And he was wonderful. I cannot imagine it being played by someone else now.
