Personally I like it very much and it is a kind of movie that keep you wondering what is happening until the end... great suspense... I was surprised about the low rating here...

It all depends on what you call "good". Let's put it this way, if you like it that's all that matters. Personally I liked it myself but I would not call it a great movie. It did have good suspense the whole way through, but the last 10-15 minutes should have been clarified so everything came together better. I think the main fault with the film was that in the last 15 minutes everything gets kind of vague and confused. If they would just have done it a bit differently at the end so you know exactly what was going on and everything suddenly made sense, it would have been much better. But I still do not think it was a "Bad" movie. Good: suspense, images, mood. Bad: needed more clarity.

It got 1.6 / 10 for a reason. It spills over with cliches. The plot, as it is presented, is implausible. Character development is paltry at best. The characters don't respond realistically to their challenges and encounters, which is as much a fault of the script as of the acting. Most questions are left unanswered but, then again, probably aren't worth answering anyway. Anne Archer shows little emotional range and is better suited to the wife roles she is better known for. This film is very annoying.

Taste has nothing to do with quality. There are many good movies which you may not like, and you may like many average or bad movies.
If a movie is good or bad is mesurable, how will it impact you isn't.
