Baroque in gas station!

I'd like to know what the baroque theme heard in the gas station is. My wild guess would be that it's one of bach's sonatas for violin and harpsichord but I haven't got a clue, really. Please help

BWV (short for Bach Werksverzeichnis) #1052.

_________

Thus fell Lord Perth, and the earth did shake with that thunder.

Great!

reply

It is Bach (J.S. Bach, Akademie für alte musik Berlin, Harmonia Mundi SA)

It's Johann Sebastian Bach's Concerto in d minor for Harpsichord (Keyboard) and Strings. There are recordings of this work both for piano and for harpsichord. It is also the "Sinfonia" in one of his cantatas wherein the solo instrument is the organ.

reply

It's so emotionally true, that moment.
