Miss this show!

I remember when I first heard about this show. I was looking up info on "Mummies Alive!" and a website was talking about Tutenstein's soon to be TV show. The site had said "if you liked Mummies Alive be sure and watch Tutenstein!"

After that I looked up the show but thought it sounded kind of "kiddie."

Cut to a few years later when Tutenstein was airing on tv. I stumbled across it on Discovery Kids. I wasn't expecting much but decided to give it a try for the sake of that one website's recommendation. A fan of Mummies Alive couldn't steer me wrong could they? So I watched it...and I loved it! It did take a bit of getting used to but the story was absolutely charming. I really did become quite a fan of the show. I actually got up early on Saturday mornings to watch new episodes and I was in my 20s. It was fun. :P

The part I actually loved the most about the show was the way they brought actual history into the episodes. And the religion! It was so NICE to see the Egyptian Gods portrayed in a GOOD light for a change. As much as I adored Mummies Alive growing up the one thing that never set right with me was that all Gods were used as villains. In Tutenstein that was not a problem!

It was such a great show and it is a shame it is no longer on tv.
