he thought Miyuu Sawai hasn't yet got the character's idea.
Something like that was what I read, so I was wondering
if afterwards he was happy with her performance. Bye.

I would imagine so otherwise they would have recast Usagi if he felt Miyuu wasn't up to it and reshot the first episode.
shareI read somewhere that Miyuu Sawaii wasn't originally selected to be Sailor Moon, but Naoko Takeuchi insisted her becasue they have similar personalities. (Usagi & Miyuu)

Naoko chose her as Usagi-chan because of the similar personalities, especially when Miyuu raised her hand and said "I want to be Sailor Moon!" when the producers asked if anyone have any questions before they end the audition casting for the day. Guess that was Usagi-ish! HAHAHAHA ^_^

Miyuu Sawai did a great job, but she basically was a 16 year old scatty schoolgirl playing a scatty 16 year old schoolgirl, perfect for the part - I'd love to know who the first choice was.
I also think it's a shame that none of the girls apart from Keiko Kitagara seemed to have prospered from this show.
