This movie was filmed in a small town called Sykesville, outside of Baltimore, Maryland. Most of the filming was conducted indoors at the Warfield complex at the Springfield Hospital in Sykesville. The outdoor scenes of 1930's Nashville was done on Main Street of Sykesville. I got the chance to watch the outdoor shooting last week, but the indoor scenes with Mr. Rickman were closed sets.

I too work in the entertainment industry and have been negotiating business with him but he only seems to like working in his own circle of elite friends amd that doesn't include those of us in the music industry.
Be that as it may, he does command a beautiful aura about him. Very handsome and fit as f**k. I could have easily tore his clothes off of him and...well...I'm sure you can use your imagination girls... :-<>

We didn't get a chance to meet him, but Alan was kind enough to sign a poster for my daughter, who is a big "Galaxy Quest" fan. I don't know how thrilled he was to do it, but I definitely give him credit for it. My daughter was very excited!!

Baltimore and surrounding area is the perfect setting for this film and should add a great deal to the film. I would like to reply to arcelyssnape's comment early on Mr. Rickman. I too have a business where I deal with a great number of celebrities from many different venues. Perhaps Mr. Rickman seemed "very stand offish" because as with most entertainers of his calaber, he can't smell a fake a mile away. It has been my experience that most British actors tend to view people outside their "circle of friends" as rude and bothersome. And it has been my experience that they are usually right in their thinking. I have found that when you treat a celebrity with the same respect and in the same manner as you would like to be treated if you were enjoying an evening out with your "circle of friends", they respond accordingly. In other words, as normal people.
The good writer should also face facts, especially with an actor of his calaber, it is doubtful that Mr. Rickman needs or desires the talents of people he is not familair with.
Last, let's just admit that at 60 years of age, Mr. Rickman is a GOD and does not need to worry about what people think of him especially when they just want to "tear his clothes off...etc".
As with all of Mr. Rickman's projects, I will look forward to the release of this film.
You have to understand the Mr. Rickman is standoffish becase as a child his mother threw out his favorite blanket. When he went out to look for it she moved so he had to find a flat (thats and Apartment in the UK) with friends. Therefore the people think are his friend actually raised him from the age of 30, when his mother tossed him out.
I hear he will not sign two sided paper nor casts. This has somthing to do with his form of method acting.

I think before youstart calling people "fakes" you should have a better understanding about who they are and what they do. You didn'tknow the circumstances of our meeting(s) before and after business. I don't "Deal with celebrities" on a daily basis, most of my work consisits of warding off liggers, dealing with contracts, and touring. So far my press has been good to me, so I must be doing something right...

I also think it's fair to say that after a recent apology from an actor who's name rhymes with Schtickman and a recent number of meetings, it wasn't I who was keen on getting their kit off. I at least had the dignity to say no...So where does resepct lie?
Regardless, he very happily agreed to participate in the project. but now so do 2 other actors....funny how it all works out in the end.
When I met Rickman, he didn't seem particularly stand-offish to me. Just shy. Kinda quiet and shy. And there's nothing wrong with that. I think it's very cute. Besides once he got more comfortable around me, he was one of the friendliest talkative men I've ever met. AND respectful!! Lord, don't try to fool us gals into thinking that if he actually did want to get into your knickers, you didn't jump on him in two seconds! What woman wouldn't, I ask you?? In any case all people have their good days and bad days. Maybe that day he seemed stand-offish he just wanted to go home. Atleast he wasn't straight out rude and nasty like Billy Crystal always is! Now there's a man you don't want to be in the same room as!

I have just a while back went to see her in the musical nine, and got to talk to her for a while in person after the show. But long story short. I'm needing to get this letter I wrote to her. shareThe movie raped on Thur Jan29. My Babies are in the movie play Elieen Saxon, the blue baby being operated on. This was our first movie production. They treated us great. Mos, Alan and Mary are all great people... I am hoping my twin get more work soon.. The movie will be coming out in May... BTW my babies names are Brooke and Kera...
