Do You Think?...

...that if they hadn't titled this as a silent hill game, would it have been compared to the silent hill series?

Also, is it just me or is there some really crappy voice acting in this game. Dont get me wrong, I loved this game, but the voice actors seem a little less than enthusiastic as their characters.

Uh, what? I don't know what the game was like before they added the SH elements, if you will. I had read that the game had started off as something else (i am not sure what) and then they redid it so that it could continue the franchise. Not sure what exactly you are asking here.

Yes, the voice acting was kinda crappy, esp. Walter(kind of dull) and Henry (he never seems too bothered as to what is going on around him). Eileen was ok though, but she just annoyed me immensely in the second half of the game. I wasn't expecting anything out of this world though with the voice acting; it's been pretty bad in parts of the SH franchise after all.

personally i wouldve loved silent hill 4 if they just called it "The Room" and kept all the Silent Hill References in the game but without directly calling it a Silent Hill Game. then the fans could make their own assumptions. it proly wouldve been better received that way

Personally, I don't think it would. But since the game was Titled with Silent Hill it will always be compared to it's predecessors (like the other games in the series.)

Whether it would of been a continuation of the game or not, I still love it. I don't think people give this game enough credit.

As with the voice acting, I think they did fine.
