I just heard that the original language (French) would not be included on the U.S. DVD release. You would think that after all this time they would at least give us the option to listen to either soundtrack, French or otherwise.

I wouldn't mind the option of both though. My first viewing of this film was a French language version with English sub's, and I kinda preferred the French voice actors, even though the original English language voice cast did a fantastic job.
You have a point, but here's why I thought that it's a French-language film;
There are actually TWO different versions out there, a French version and an English version(a la Silver Hawk), but with different casts. After filming, they were dubbed over by completely different actors. However, only the "English Version" was used and released for the US version. Knowing this, I don't understand why they would'nt release this alternate version in some kind of two-disc set. Maybe a double dip? Or is ti available overseas?
P.S. There ARE sites that confirm this.
You can always order the Canadian version, it has both audio tracks included.
shareI'm looking at the retail DVD right now (rented it - work at blockbuster) and on the back it clearly says under the Technical Specifications: "French Language Track & Subtitles".
shareYeah, I work at blockbuster too and this definitely says "FRENCH LANGUAGE TRACK". haven't watched it yet though.
shareI just rented it from Blockbuster Online, and it does have both English and French audio tracks. I watched it in English, though, just to hear Mr. Bond lol. I'm gonna buy it though, so next time I'll try it in French, as I generally prefer original languages in live-action films.

shareWell when it's animated like this it really does not matter if it's in french or english. And if you see it in english it looks like there lips are saying the exact same word in english. But hey it's Daniel Craig man He did a voice over I loved the film.

There is a French audio track on the DVD. However, you can tell by the lips, that this movie is originally in English. It's weird that the DVD's default audio is French without subtitles. But you can see the French audio is off sync with the lips, while the English is spot on.

Those who think they are always right are annoying to those of us who are.
they animated the lips to English for the English version. if you watch the making of you'll see the actors (who look like their onscreen personas) performed it in French which was used for the French version, also properly synced to their (French) lips.
shareI thought the disk was English language only, watched it that way and was slightly disappointed in Daniel (good, but doesn't match the character that well) and horribly disappointed in the voice acting for Ilona and Bislane.
Just now because of the making of and this thread was able to find the French track. Night and day. Not just better acting here and there but it feels like a different movie. I swear it's mixed better with the voices easier to hear and the music is more important on the french audio track even.
Acting is acting (see the making of featurette!) and here it shows that even for an animated film, post-production dubbing in another language is still dubbing. I now 100% consider this movie to be in French, and that's how it should be watched.
