Recyclops makes no sense

How did the 'documentary crew' get the Recyclops-footage from all the preceding years?

It's weird and convenient that they always happen to have the exact footage to match whatever someone like Jim is explaining to the camera, but they never thought to feature that footage the year it was shot or any year after, until Jim talks about the different variations and versions of Recyclops.

Then they feature perfectly captured clips of all the previous 'Recyclops moments'.

Often, when you think about things from the 'documentary crew' perspective, things don't make sense. We almost never see extra cables or lights, the microphones and camera setups and such, even though they do use multiple cameras. Somehow we never see the other cameras, even when they switch to another camera that SHOULD see the previous camera (and cameraman), and so on.

Why can't things just make sense..
