Is applying for the corporate job?
On “Beach Day” episode, Jim tells David Wallace via phone that he wants to interview for it.
Then Karen grabs the phone and says she wants to apply also.
So then , going down to NYC to interview, he asks her if she’s interviewing for “ his assistant”????

i'd have to watch it again, but I'm pretty sure he says it jokingly. They both know they're in competition for the job and they're just taunting each other and having banter beforehand

He was joking with her, you can tell in his Tone.
