Hinted at (or actual) relationships that fizzled w/o a trace

-Oscar and Matt

-Dwight and Isabel

-Kevin and fat lady

-Andy and Mrs. California

-Pete and Erin

Can anyone think of any more? The couples must have no shown or talked-about reason for why they broke up or didn't get together!

reply

Didn't look like Matt picked up the phone, Dwight's arrangement with Angela was seemingly a c0ck block, Where did Andy / Mrs. Cal come from?

reply

Mrs California said "it's a date", to a bemused Andy. She liked him I guess but he didn't appear interested in her. She had obviously decided to leave Robert already when she said that.

reply

Ryan and himself. Though that was a passionate relationship.

Oscar & Gil

reply

That's a good one, did Oscar ever mention that he and Gil split up?

reply

Don't think so, he mentioned it not being a big deal if Gil didn't want to move to Stamford if the branch closed then don't think he was referenced again until Michael mentioned Oscar's recent breakup in New Boss.

reply

-Michael mentions that Oscar and Gil broke up when he was introducing Oscar to Charles.

-Pam and Brian were resolved when she stormed out of his apartment after finding out PBS was invading their privacy.

-Pete had one line in the finale and didn't sit anywhere near, nor speak to Erin.

reply

Also Jim and Brenda (we never knew if she called him back after he asked her out.)

reply

I thought Isabel was a one-night stand? Dwight ignored her the day after at the wedding.
The "fat lady"? Is that Stacy? Thought she broke up with him.
Pete and Erin were dating at the end of the series, weren't they?

They met again when everyone went out for drinks in Happy Hour and Isabel seemed keen, Dwight had his baby contract with whore Angela in place though.

He hooked up with a woman seen in Blood Drive, seen / mentioned in a few eps up until Café Disco I think.

Pete and Erin were dating at the end of the series, weren't they?

I can't even remember any dialogue from Pete in the last few episodes.

reply

Dwight and Kelly

Pam and Brian

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

It never happened, but I thought I'd bring this one up because it looked liked the writers of the show were trying to set this up, but then were unable to carry through:

Jim and Jordan.

If you watch the few episodes Jordan was in at the end of Season 7, she seems to kind of like Jim. And then, I think in the last episode of the season, there is a tantalizing deleted scene where Jordan says in a "talking head" to the documentary crew that she thinks Jim is kind of funny, and she blushes and looks away.

It really looks like the writers wanted Jordan to be the "Cathy" of Season 8, who tries to seduce Jim, but I'm guessing Cody Horn couldn't/wouldn't return for another season?

I guess we'll never know.

But I think her character would've been much more interesting in Season 8 than Cathy's was.

Sincerely,

Todd
