It was well confusing though the story dont you all think ?, also considering i thought it was about the french indian wars etc, i at least expected a few firefights, that was a bit poor imo, a bit of action would have been nice, and even if they could not afford last of the mohican type fights, a few small scale skirmishes would have done
shareMy major qualm about this movie is the fact that it was sold as movie that deals with the struggle of the québécois under the opression of the british, and their fight for freedom. Besides the english title is quite misleading "Battle of the Brave".
While the invasion and occupation of Québec by the british is one of the secondary layers of the movie, truth is 'Nouvelle-France' is basically a romance drama.
Needles to say, I rented this flick expecting to see something different, but for what it's worth, the romance drama is at least watchable.
