Ma Nouvelle France
Mon bel amour, mon bel amant
Tu m'as donné l'amour
Adieu mon tendre amant
Ma douce enfant
Mes deux amours
Adieu mon beau pays

And for all of you english-speaking folks, here's the translation, at the best of my capacities in this langage ;)
My beautiful love, my beautiful lover
I'm coming to the end of all our torments
Will these few words from my prison
Reach you someday?
Keep your body close against mine
Hold me tight for the last time
Your hot breath is still burning on my skin
Just like the very first day
You gave me love
It will be my light
I keep it with me
And when I will be cold
It will keep me warm under the earth
[When I close my eyes, I see you
And when I open them, I'm looking for you]
And you my beautiful child
I only had the time
To teach you the word "love"
Once I'll have flew over the wind
Once I'll have crossed the nothingness
To find myself in front of the big giant
I'll look after you
I gave you life
Remember your mother
Above all don't forget
That the violences of love
Are equal to the violences of war
Farewell my tender lover
My sweet child
My two loves
Farewell my beautiful country
My New France
My New France

Like I said, I'm not sure about how all my sentences turned out, but that's the basic idea. I just want to say that I'm absolutely not a Céline Dion fan, in fact I disliked the song from Titanic, but I was quite impressed by this once. I mean for once there is not too much vocal flourish or notes only dogs can hear... Céline is actually stunning. It's just a simple, sweet, sad melody, and she sings it amazingly well. And the lyrics are heart-breaking.
