your favourite manhunt moment...

i was playing the last level in the dark and i took a couple of steps into the area and then pigsy jumped out of nowhere ans scared the crap out of me. i actually fell of my seat...

reply

The first time I played, I was anticipating the meet up with Piggsy, but wasn't sure when it would happen. They showed a cutscene of Piggsy breaking through his chains, & I think the next level was the trainyard level (Trained to Kill, I think). Well, throughout the soundtrack for that level, there is a faint pig-grunting-like sound. Needless to say, I spent that entire level creeping around (more than usual, anyway), dreading the moment Piggsy would jump out somewhere. Alas, it never happened. I think that was the most tense feeling I've had while playing this game.

The whole game is my favorite Manhunt moment.

could you hear piggsy grunting in trained to kill? hmmm...must play it again to see if i can pick it up

huh? I only had one banana!

reply

It's like a rustling or scruffy noise that comes & goes throughout the soundtrack for that level. I guess it could be something else altogether, but I'll be damned if I didn't think that was a pig grunting noise the first time I played. Hell, to this day it still sounds like a pig grunting to me.

reply

Yeah who remembers when they first encountered Piggsy? My God, I must've shi t a brick in my pants.

One of my favorite moments is the violent execution with the baseball hat. I always like to yell "Batter up!" right before splattering some hood's brains.

"Hold it - there's a bigot at the gate. If he sees you, he'll call his cheery buddies . . . "

reply

Nice one liner. One of my favourites is "Home Run, mother f ucker"

"Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, Add what is uniquely your own" Bruce Lee

reply

With the baseball hat? I suppose it would be possible to suffocate someone with one.

reply

Congrats on catching the typo! Yes, I meant to say baseball bat.

"Hold it - there's a bigot at the gate. If he sees you, he'll call his cheery buddies."

reply

Stuff it down their throat...

The game was excellent from start to finish! But I did love the Pigsy moments, the Skinz, and especially the Smilies moments.

The Piggsy level felt like actually being trapped in a slasher film and trying to survive.

"Just repeat to yourself, 'It's just a show; I should really just relax.'"

When I was at the scrapyard and there were loads of Skinz. I was chased and I just encountered them everywhere, but I managed to get level 1 executions all the way through. I must've executed 4-5 Skinz by RUNNING up to them, while at the same time being chased. You're usually dead when there are that many, but I survived that, which felt awesome.

Starkweather's death. Not because I hated the character, just because his awesome last lines:
''Cash, I made you!''

Yes, that was pretty good. Starkweather's lines leading up to that were a riot, as well, like when he asks Cash if he wants some girls or boys on the side.

I was in the mall, inside the bar, coming up from the basement and a guy jumps out in front of me from a side door. I blasted him point blank in the face with the handgun.

and when I was in the toy store in the mall and I looked out the window and there was a gang member. I shot him in the head through the window. Then I walked 5 feet over to the other window and there was another gang member waiting there. He had just seen his friend shot 5 feet in front of him and the breaking window should have alerted him, but there he stood waiting for a bullet to the head.

Also the sniper rifle was excellent!

But the best 2 moments were the deaths of Starkweather and Piggy!!

Yeah he even offered me Ramirez's job.

Do you understand the words that I am saying to you?

reply

The ending.
Cash, I made you... - buuuuuzzzzzz!
I liked the mall level and Innocentz are my favorite gang from the game.

I'm looking forward to playing this on the PS3. My favorite moments are on the grounds of Starkweather's Mansion. If you eliminate all but the final sniper you can go back around to the hedge and fire your gun, the game will generate more guards and you can lure and kill them. Keep doing this and see how high of a score you can get.

So long and thanks for all the fish!
