What would you do(spoilers)
If you were Andrea would you stay with Shy after he killed you brother. Hammer was a jerk and probaly would have tried to kill Shy sooner or later. I don't know if Shy would have even taken Andrea back.

shareIt's hard to say. I think Shy was not the person she had been in love with anymore. Would the Shy she loved have murdered someone? Anyone? Let alone her own brother?
It's obvious they still cared for one another, but the divide between the two of them had grown too much. Neither of them were the same people after what happened. What's even more sad is how desperately each wanted to reach out to the other, but were too afraid. It's fear and the lack of communication, the lack of sharing, that leads to speculation and misunderstanding which destroys relationships.
Crap your right.
shareHammer was definitely an a**hole, and a dangerous one at that. He went as far as throwing acid in Shy's face. Now, that's crazy. Shy got tired of being bullied and humiliated and finally snapped on Hammer's already crazy a**. It happens all the time. If I was Andrea, I would have probably been very understanding toward Shy. But as far as them getting back together, too many things had happened which had affected how they saw each other. Obviously Shy no longer saw Andrea as a sweet, innocent young lady because of her reputation and also seeing her with numerous guys ina filthy bathroom. And Shy also messed up because he distanced himself from Andrea when she was trying to reach out to him during the time that he was depressed and wouldn't leave his house. The fact that he distanced himself was one of the reasons Andrea felt empty and started sleeping around. It was sad too because their relationship ended very abruptly.

I kind of imagined she would stay within the context of the movie.
Staying within the context of the movie, I thought Sheila was a character that despised the confines of her family and it's "Cayman socialite status" and her acts thereonafter were acts of trying to escape her social prison.
Now in real life, family will always be family but I have met many a people who's relationship with their family is so sour that they could care less about their family's well being; and in extreme cases, there are news bits around the media of even kids killing their parents.
Considering the character build-up of Sheila, it wouldn't have been too far fetched for me if they ended up together regardless, but either ending works fine because I find both endings have their own degree of realism; just the current one is moreso than the other.
