Do Sarah and Jannick hook up in the end?

Just wondering.

I thought absolutely not. During the period they thought Michael was dead, they had an attraction that was borne of grief and the realization that the other person was not such a jerk as they had thought. Once Michael was back they respected the marriage bond, though they kept the affection that had grown between them.

Not to mention that at the end, Sarah visited Michael in prison. As long as he was willing to finally tell her what happened, she remained committed to the marriage.

No. When Michael is carted off to jail, Jannick comes in to comfort Sarah, as he did before. He starts to fix her kitchen, as he did before.

Then he realizes what is going on and quickly leaves the house.

There's your answer.

I hope not because then Michael's sacrifice for his family would have been totally pointless

The question is, what do you think?

I think the director deliberately inserted a certain amount of ambiguity in the final scenes involving Jannik. You seem him pause at the door to the bathroom, Sarah can hear him at the door, and then suddenly he's leaving again in a hurry. Did he enter the bathroom? I think the answer is No, because both he and Sarah have their act together enough to know it would be really bad for everyone involved. But we can't be absolutely sure.
