The Paedofinder General

Can anyone tell me who voices the Paedofinder General? A friend rather foolishly thought it was Tom Baker. I'm good at placing voices - Rebecca Front, Morwenna Banks and Simon Greenall are instantly recognisable, but I'm itching to know who this is.

I have a feeling it might be the Scottish actor Enn Reitel - who's done voice overs on everything from Spitting Image, 2DTV and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (the Town Crier and the Maggot), to The X Factor. Apparently, he was also John Sullivan's first choice for the role of Del Boy in 'Only Fools & Horses'. Del Boy and the Paedofinder General - there's a great pub quiz question in there somewhere.

Enn Reitel is listed in the cast of Monkey Dust so you are likely to be right.

I'm pretty darn sure it's Simon Greenall's voice. I'm familiar with Greenall, with him being on I'm Alan Partridge, and the cadence of the way The Paedofinder General speaks is consistent with Greenall's voice.

(He also voices Ivan Dobsky and Jeff the cottager.)

Cool, thanks for the link. I recognised a few Monkey Dust character-like voices there, especially the "Essex!" guy.
