Who else couldn't get into this?

I tried getting into this about 5 years ago, when I was a huge South Park fan, but could never click with it for some reason.

Anyone else have trouble getting into Drawn Together? Is it a show you have to really watch from Episode 1 to understand?

Like 'Tosca', or granny-diddling, it's not for everybody. Many find the somewhat transgressive humour uncomfortable, distressing, or off-putting; many people born after the year 1995 simply don't get many of the jokes, while other people, who have clearly spent the last thirty years of their lives watching WAYYY too much television, feel they are being mocked. Given the subject matter, there are far too many legitimate reasons to really hate this program, than there are legitimate reasons to 'want' to like it; So, why bother?

My personal affinity with this program is based almost totally on my hatred of so-called 'Reality TV', and my fascination with the ongoing development and evolution of the animated genres. There are many purely technical aspects of the show that I find to be both laudable and admirable, subject matter entirely notwithstanding. Indeed, the show sets a fairly high bar for overall quality and integrity, except perhaps when making lame satirical points about television studios and their executives.

I suggest giving it another try some years down the road. You might REALLY hate it then, or, find something in it to enjoy that, for perfectly natural reasons, wasn't nearly as enjoyable in the present. It occurs.

eh. i get the jokes, i'm not offended by it, but it's boring and dumb. seems like more pablum for comedy central neckbeards who think they're smarter than they actually are.

I feel exactly the same way about so-called 'Reality TV'. I get the jokes; No, I'm not offended by it, I just find it boring, dumb, and pablum. The premise, however, that this should be parodied or satirized, not by another live-action program, but by one that is animated, I find much more interesting by comparison. As a point of history, one might observe, though, that the so-called 'comedy central neckbeards(sic?)' referred to above, were actually those responsible for cancelling 'Drawn Together', when they realized the show was actually smarter than they were.

i wonder how dumb you have to be to find this show 'smart'.

I wonder how 'smart' you have to be to watch 'Reality TV'.

i don't watch reality tv.

I feel the same way. I don't find it hard to get at all and if anything it seemed too simple and boring. I tried to get in to it a few times because a lot of people seem to recommend it but I just can't seem to like it.
