Why does everyone hate Captain Hero?

I personally think he's perhaps the funniest character of the show. Come on, who didn't crack up when he said, "Comatose like a fox!!"

A Man chooses...a Slave Obeys.

I was thinking the same thing. Captain Hero makes me laugh the most out of all the characters. yeah, he is an ass, but he's hilarious. Besides, would the show be nearly as funny if he were nice to everyone? Some of the mean things he does add to the hilarity of the show, like that one episode where he intentionally mistakes the neighbors daughter for a goat and kidnaps her (thinking he is in a college fraternity again). Besides when he acts like an ass, other subplots involving him are funny as well, like the one where the supervillain's power is to get Capt. Hero to wash his balls.

I really don't know why people hate capt. Hero so much, besides the fact that he's an ass.

I can tell you why I hate Captain Hero.

He is on the freakin' screen too much.

Scroll down the list of episodes and have a drink every time an episode either has a Captain Hero story as the main plot or sub-plot.

I like Clara and Ling Ling. While Ling Ling has finally gotten a little more screen time, I am sick of Hero.

SICK. BLAH. ENOUGH ALREADY. Give him a week off so we can enjoy the rest of the characters...

All IMHO, as always, of course. :-)

Too much Captain Hero? I could hardly complain, he's the funniest character in the show by a mile.

I agree Capt. Hero is my favorite guy. I bought both season 1 and 2 for christmas for my sister havent opened them yet. But from the episodes i have seen it seems that spanky (the pig) doesn't really get any screen time at all. Ling ling is ok....kinda funny sometimes. He has his moments I'll give him that. Foxxy is pretty funny, gets a little annoying. Clara is humorless I don't understand the point of her role besides to represent how boring some people really are. Maybe I need to see more episodes but she seems to really suck, Wooldoor is funny. I like him probably second best. Toot is usually funny in her own disgusting way. Xandir is like Clara, except its funny to see the other characters bouncing jokes off of him and beating him up. He serves a purpose, to give us entertainment out of his own misfortunes.

People hate Captain Hero? News to me.

The only characters I hate are Ling Ling and Spanky. Both are so completely useless and add nothing to the show (case in point, a more recent ep. where Spanky had sex with that spider, my husband, who absolutely loves this show, was obviously forcing himself to laugh when in reality, the episode or storyline itself were barely funny, and the sub-storyline with Ling Ling, neither one of us had a reaction).

They don't come any better than me, buddy!

I really dislike Wooldoor, to me he might have a purpose, but it is often seriously unfunny and annoying. But i don't mind Princess Clara because she reminds me of really ignorant people I've known, as for Spanky sometimes i think can be more upsetting than funny.

well, you either like an overbearing, self-absorbed, bat-sh_t-crazy, homicidal psycho with bordeline personality disorder, or you don't.

I don't hate him, but if other people do that it's probably because he's overexposed and domineering.

reply

The overexposed bit used to be my reason.

When I first got into the show, Wooldoor was my favorite character and I would treasure the episodes he was 80% featured in. Captian Hero used to dominate the screen most of the time, and though he is funny, there are 7 other characters you wish to hear a joke out of, too.

After Drawn Together Babies, though, I completely fell in love in Captian Hero's character and began re-watching season 2 recently and realized how great the episodes with him in it are. Wooldoor is still one of my favorite characters, however, for being one of the more "cleaner" characters (Few fart jokes, not a giant stereotype all the time, doesn't obsessively get involved in sexual activities, etc) and more intellegent characters of the show, while still having that bit to him that allows him to pull off outrageous stunts and makes it work.

I suppose if you're watching the series in it's correct order, you'll notice the large amounts of Captian Hero airtime and realize "But wait... Where's Clara? Where's Toot? I want more of them, they're my favorites." but if you download it and watch the episodes in any order you please, then you won't be as bothered by Hero.

captain lesle hero is great because he is possibly the most insane one in the house. Plus hes sooooo fxckin stupid. I mean the douche destroyed his home world to get back at his parents. then again in retrospect those people probably made him into what he is...a fxckin nutcase. He causes all types of mayhem also, and ripped off toots arm.

I personally love Captain Hero just because he is a mentally unstable zoo/copro/necrophiliac incestuous quasi-omnisexual. In fact for all of the drawn together cast I'd say his character was strong enough for a solo cartoon. I agree that showing him too much kind of takes his edge away though, and using the other characters more would make his plots more "fresh".

Xandir and Clara would be a distant second(only because Clara is the embodiment of everything I hate in the world and it makes me laugh), with Foxxy closely trailing.

I thought Wooldoor, and Spanky were really only good for backup with the random jokes and occasional sub-plot.

I hate Toot because I feel like I can smell/taste her through the TV screen ... it makes me nauseous ...

Ling Ling I think could've had more screen time. One of my favourite episodes is the one where he gets his eyes taped open to get his drivers license.
