Eps Screening Out of Order In Australia

Any fellow Aussie viewers know what's going on with the weird episode order on ABC? I wouldn't have known if I hadn't accidentally taped last week's ep over the previous week's and had to obtain a copy elsewhere. Stupid me got behind in my viewing of the show & played catch up last week, but underestimated how many eps I hadn't seen. I stopped the tape at the end of the S1 final ready to tape the next ep, and unfortunately later discovered my mistake when I found the remaining couple of minutes of the wiped ep. I knew from the credits that it had a character called Reza Bin Laden, and the one I d/loaded was a different ep. Turns out the one I needed was actually The Nation's Favourite (ep 4 in UK). According to an episode guide, Identity Crisis was supposed to be the premiere of S2, but in Australia that will apparently be shown as the series final!

Going by the ABC's website, most of S2 will be airing out of sequence:

The Nation's Favourite
The Trial
Blood Bank
House Of Lords
Spinning America
Identity Crisis

The UK apparently aired it in this order:

Identity Crisis
The Trial
Blood Bank
The Nation's Favourite
Spinning America
House Of Lords

I don't know why ABC wouldn't just show the episodes in the original order. Does anyone know if the Aussie order affects the continuity of the show at all, or doesn't it matter?

The Nation's Favourite was aired out of order in the UK because of the obvious character reference, and it was to be aired just after the London bombings, or something.

The UK episodes were screened out of order due to the bombings in London on the 7th and 21st of July. Apparently the BBC thought an episode surrounding a member of the Bin Laden family buying British airways would be considered tasteless. I've no idea why though.
