My copy didn't seem to have any titles for this, but I assume there were supposed to be. It's somewhat lengthy. And my Spanish is very rusty. Could someone please fill me in on what was said?
Thanks very much!
I can promise you a day of reckoning that you will not live long enough to never forget.
Alejandro: Let's speak in Spanish. The language of our father's.
Joaquin: My mother won't believe this!
Alejandro: No. No, it would be better if you didn't tell your mother about this.
Joaquin: Why not?
Alejandro: I'm the one asking the questions. Now, why aren't you in school?
Joaquin: The man with the scar on his face. I knew he was up to something. You really showed that son of a bitch.
Alejandro: Watch your mouth. Those men are killers. Whatever they had in those crates was very dangerous. And now, I don't know what it was, as I was too busy getting you out of trouble.
Joaquin pulls out the bar of soap.
Joaquin: You mean this?
Alejandro: Soap? That's all there was?
Joaquin: Loads and loads of it?
Alejandro: You're sure?
Joaquin: Would I lie to you?
Alejandro: Spanish, nino. Spanish, and this is not a game. Your father would have a heart attack if he knew what you did.
Joaquin: No, he wouldn't. He doesn't care. Yesterday he forgot about me.
Alejandro: No. I don't think he forgot. What you have to understand is...No. Your father should have been there. Next time he will be.
