Interactions you wish there were

Here are some of mine:

1. Tuck in (for children, not just toddlers)
2. Assign room (I'd just love that)
3. Set table
4. Clear table

I'm too lazy to think of more right now...add your own.

That's the last time I buy anything because it's fuzzy.

reply

Adults/teens can 'tuck in' children when they're asleep, but I **THINK** it is an autonomous action.

You can assign rooms with the 'Myne Door' from... I think it was the University ep.

;-)

reply

I like the "set table" and "clear table" ideas.

And yes, you can use the special dorm room door from University to assign rooms.

As for me, I wish you could do two actions at the same time. Like talk on the phone and cook. That would be cool.

it's not really an interaction, but i wish with the teens they would make them be a bit messy, like leave clothes on the floor when they get changed and food in their rooms or gossip on their mobiles or even txt or something!

I wish Sims would notice when there spouse gets pregnant and they're not the parent.

I had a lesbian/bisexual couple. The bisexual sim would cheat on her wife all the time. Eventually she got preganant by one of her lovers.
Her wife should've known she was cheating.

actually that reminds me of one thing that really bugs me! a few of my female sims have got randomly pregnant (one night stands etc) but they raise the child, get it into private school, pay for everything... then when it comes to pack them off to university the dad is automatically there to see them off! even though they've never seen their dad or live with them

they should change it so that the primary caregiver is there..i.e the mum!

i really wish toddlers and babies could take a small teddy to sleep with them, it would make it more childlike and cute. and the babies really need a quilt cover, they must be freezing just lying there!

i know they're not really interactions, but they could make more interactions out of it, like more between the toddler and teddy, and extra parent/baby interactions.

Download in Inteenimator, and teens can woohoo, woohoo with adults and get pregnant. Also, both teens and adults can go on birth control and fertility treatment. You can also have abortions (end pregnancy in the menu) and force a miscarriage.

reply

I just wish they could fix the game so that the adults wouldn't just put their baby on the freaking floor all the time.

I wish sims actually had to wash their clothes. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to build a life-like house (from floorplans), and had to substitute the laundry room with something else.

Brushing teeth and combing hair.

Skateboards, bicycles, etc..

Athletics for kids. Sports, etc..

Realistic arguing for adults.

Divorces.

And this isn't really an interaction, but I always wish you could choose a first, middle, and last name, and a nickname. Same for babies - you can give them a different last name. Like this family:

First: Jonathan
Middle: Paul
Last: Smith
Nickname: Jon
and the game would automatically call him Jon.

First: Andrea
Middle: Marie
Last: Jones
Nickname: Andi
and the game would automatically call her Andi.

And their kid could be...

First: Elizabeth
Middle: Marie
Last: Jones-Smith
Nickname: Lizzie

And different last names in CAF! Two roomies with the same last name? Psh.

I like the brushing the teeth, washing clothes and divorce ideas!

I wish that kids could have after school activities, like swimming lessons and football lessons as just two examples. To the previous poster i'm not sure if you meant this when you said "Athletics for kids. Sports, etc.. "

I wish there were more interactions between adults and babies, maybe an interaction to burp the baby or something. And maybe something like a stroller for toddlers, instead of having to carry them everywhere.

There's more but i can't think of any at the moment..

If you 'Cuddle' a baby after feeding, the baby will burp. It sometimes takes a few times, and you have to zoom in pretty close to hear it, but it will happen if you're patient. ;)

You can brush teeth in Sims 3, so maybe some of these interactions people are naming might pop up in TS3.

Whether we live or we die we still share the same space

reply

You can kinda already divorce by making the couple hating each other, and selecting "break up" That's what my sim did to get his wife, lol.

I wish that when you get married, you just don't propose at your house, or pay for a whole wedding, and have it on your lot. I would like to be able to book wedding at churches and have it there. Like "Propose...Marriage...Book Wedding"

If we can do that already, I might not have the expansion pack for it. >.<

I've got a jar of dirt! I've got a jar of dirt! And guess what's inside it!

Simlogical has a reservable bed hack, which allows you to assign beds to different sims. There's also a crib one.

Getting drunk, and some totally useless aspitations (not only the cheese sandwiches) which you would get if your sim becomes frustrated.

I wish the teens would fight with their parents. Sim kids from birth to adult have ridiculously great relationships with their parents and there needs to be variety with this like with real teenagers.

I think the sims should get drunk. Once out of curiosity I set up a bar and had my sim blending drinks and drinking from the bottle all day...nothing happened.
I agree with the teen/parent relationship. It's either total love or complete hate, it's ridiculous. And then the teen ends up running away...oi. All relationships are the same. And when you get the game you read their little life stories...but how they actually interact is completely different.
I wish sims could multitask, too. Like sit on the couch and eat, or sit on the couch and do homework, sit down with a baby/toddler just in their lap, etc. I also wish they would stop cheating on each other. I've had so many sims run up and slap their partners without me knowing what the hell happened. And my sims need to stop trying to hug random strangers who do not know them and aren't even "friends" with them. And it shouldn't take a child five hours to do homework, come on now. Toddlers should be able to sit on couches so they don't have to constantly crawl around the ground, and sim teens should be able to babysit. And teen sims should be able to get pregnant. Hell, they should be able to marry. At least college sims should. Mine are engaged but I have no idea how to marry them. I also hate having to have a crappy little wedding party on the lot, I just try to make it look fancy.
I SO agree with the first, middle, last, and nickname idea. I've had so many sims that I've wanted to nickname, because I'm just the kind of person who loves giving ridiculously long names just so I can create fun nicknames.
And sims need closets. Badly.

I have a lot more ideas that are probably better, but only those come to mind at the moment. There's just sooo much more I wish was on there, and a lot I wish was gone. But regardless I love the games.

sims can have closets in apartment life.. :)

Interaction between toddlers. Like in the load-up video where two of them are fighting over a bottle. I wish they could hug or poke each other in the eye or something.

Toddlers can huggle eachother. Though they should be able to do more

I built a church and a church hall on one lot and I send my sims there to get married sometimes. It means you can have miles more people at your wedding and in the church hall I set up a wedding buffet, cake, bar, and dj and they are always replaced and you don't have to hire staff or clean up. The only problem is that you'd have to do it as an outing rather than a wedding party.

i wish that not all the hugs and kisses and other romance interactions were done with huge grins on their faces. only the romance interactions in the hot tub are done without grins

Some notes on things others have said:
Brushing teeth - can be done using the medicine cabinet which comes with apartment life

After-school/extra curriculars agreed as such an awesome thing that's missing. There's the 'Freetime' expansion that I don't have, but its not the same as going off to take classes.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 'huggle' interaction for toddlers. I only figured it out recently when I had twin girls and decided to explore what they could do together.

A puschair/pram for babies and toddlers to go visit different lots is also necessary. I hate that when you're in the Grandma sim's home, you have to wait til the grandchild is a child until they will come visit you.

Interactions needed:
*Some means of reprimanding bad toddlers/children/teens.
For example: when toddlers have been playing in the toilet, when teens sneak out etc... For teens being caught when sneaking out they just shout at them and then everything is fine.

*Ability to pickpocket/shoplift/injure or kill/be two-faced to another sim. The sims are just too nice to each other. I need some reality otherwise I feel like I'm stuck in white-Christian-upper-middle-class-suburbia. Come ON!

*Ability to have rivals: not just friends or enemies.

*Under the talk option, there should be the option to 'have a heart-to-heart'; 'talk about problems' etc...

*For relatives there should be a 'talk about family' option.

Also: just discovered today that teens can't have relationships with young adults. That s messed up. That's like saying a 17 year old and a 19 year old can't have a relationship. Hello?!

We tried so hard to create a society that was equal...

1. Smash objects (esp.when your sim gets angry, or just for kicks)
2. Television of Death (The Ring style, something that would 'set birthday' or worse).

Sims can smash urns when their aspirations get too low, I know teens can. I've seen Mercutio from Veronaville do it. I couldn't believe it , it came up as one of Isabella's fears as well.
