So do Americans trust insurance companies more than the government?

After speedwatching Sicko I was reminded of how insurance companies kept trying to screw over their customers by denying treatments. But I'm also aware that a lot of Americans have a hatred/fear/distrust of government. Would Americans rather have their healthcare in the hands of private health-insurance companies than the government?

I can't speak for myself, but many more conservative Americans believe that "a government big enough to to provide you with everything is big enough to take it all away from you", and are adamant in their belief that the US should not seek to emulate Europe and other regions of the world. So yes, many prefer the private sector as opposed to the federal government
