Fatal Frame Yuri...

Okay, so I've been playing FF2 Crimson Butterfly for a long time now, and I'm pretty sure that there is some hidden shoujoai/yuri going on between Mio and Mayu at times; particularly when Mayu is reunited with Mio on several occasions throughout the game. This belief has been further reinforced by several rare fanfics that can be found around FF.net. At present there are at least a few yuri based stories that focus on the unique paring of Mio x Mayu to different degrees.

I happen to be writing one of them. ^_^

While it's bascially qualified as incest, Mayu's affection for her sister is, (in my opinion) as profound as it is frightening. Does anyone else out there like this type of pairing?

All of this pairing fanfics and yuri stuff - why? That is just plain ridiculous. Instead of fanfic you could write your own yuri stuff from scratch, not spoil and ruin the original FF story, imho.

There was a part in one of the endings I thought Mio was actually gonna kiss Mayu (for one weird second, and only cos I'm a perv at heart :P).

But I don't think there's any Yuri implied. I think it might be a Japanese cultural nuance regarding the closeness of siblings. Twins at that matter.

Yeah, at the first ending, which occurs when game is completed in normal difficulty.

Easy was... too easy. I didn't use any sacred water or mirror stones at all.

If you have the X-BOX version, try survival mode. It's brutal, but you'll get the x-box exclusive ending, & fight a survival-mode exclusive boss named Utsuru. At
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/920717/43869, there is a strategy guide for the x-box version's survival mode. Use it. Your life might just depend on it.

Oh yeah, there's definitely a Yuri vibe in the game.
