This movie was creepy!!!

I picked it up, thinking my kid would like it...
I won't let her watch it. I thought it was way too sexual and it was just really creepy the fixation of the wolf on red. The songs and imagery...I know that's the way the real story is supposed to go...but GOODNESS! I just thought it was way over the top and they really sexualized the whole thing. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know, but definetly not letting my kid watch it.

It was a really crappy movie anyway.

The story of the little red riding hood was sexualized in itself.. it was somewhat hidden but it was there. c'mon, a wolf wanting to eat lil red riding hood so bad.. heh.. i took a course on the grimms' fairy tales and one of the first tales that it talked about was lil red riding hood and just how sexual the story is.

Yeah the grimm version was....BUT it's still creepy....I guess the creepiest thing about it isn't the wolf and red.

it's because the wolf is played by the Fat One. That makes it super creepy.

It's not something you'd really want your youngest kids to see, and it's pushed as a childrens film.

lol. yeah the Fat One was pretty creepy as the wolf. Now whenever I see his picture, I'm going to be thinking of him as the wolf.

You know, the fact that he was a member of a song and dance group that caters mostly to pre-teen girls makes it even more creepier.

The imagery of the whole film didn't help that either.

Seriously? I've seen many versions of Red Riding Hood, and some ARE sexualized as it's a story that is very much about the transition from girl to woman and the ensuing pursuit by males. HOWEVER, this film, as lame as it was, didn't sexualize the story at all; at least, not the wolf and Red aspect of it. Despite making the wolf a werewolf, all he seemed to be interested in here was literally eating people. This "sexualization" complaint, in regards to this film anyway, doesn't hold water. However, I'll agree that, for the most part, it is a pretty crappy movie.

I agree. Crappy, not creepy
