He ruined himself.

If Scott didn't want Laci anymore...that's fine. All he had to do was divorce her. But instead he murdered her, expecting they'd soon forget about her and stop searching. Well, he thought wrong. And now, his life is over forever. And it's no one's fault but his own.

You can see why he did it? I sure hope that's not empathy.

well I'll say I empathize. But at the same time it's his own fault for getting married in the first place. It's not fair to give someone half of everything you own because you are married. If a house is in his name, IT'S HIS. If a car is in her name, IT'S HERS. And you shouldn't EVER get custody of a child if you need someone else's financial help to provide for them.

Having the law set to automatically allow others to reap 18 years of, or, life-long benefits for a failed marriage is unfair to both parties since it has been one of the most common motives for murder of a spouse, has also been a great cause of psychiatric breakdowns (The financial aspects) & even stated as a common motive for larceny.

For instance say you can't afford your alimony & child support.
Your choices are:
1.) Go to jail
2.) Do something to get extra money quickly
***Probably steal, or something else illegal,
because you're probably working full time anyway***
3.) Kill yourself
4.) Kill your spouse

It takes a sick, twisted human being to empathize with a man like Scott Peterson.

It's not a matter of an empathy. This is a very important, though a bit one-sides analysis.

Therefore, I partially agree with him. Because I've seen too many persons doing nothing to avoid earning any money that could be taken and given to former spouse. On the other hand, I've seen also too many persons doing nothing just to stay in position that demands the former spouse to pay.

So, as a conclusion - modern laws stimulate people not to work, to stay unemployed, and often due to these laws we have two unemployed (can I say lazy?) people because the one that is supposed to pay won't work to avoid payment (if he/she loved the former spouse he/she wouldn't divorce) and the other won't work not to lose the right to be payed, because even if former spouse doesn't want to do it the social service will have to...

Of course, this can't be an excuse for a murder (but if one of these people wants to break any connection with former life killing the other one seems to be an obvious way out if your mind works on a psychopath level), however it can lead to gaining more and more social problems...

You're the crazy one. You twisted every word the OP said.

Clark's destiny = Superman, Lex Luthor & Lois Lane.

I have no clue why the guy got married in the first place. He already had 2 affairs early in the marriage. It was the late 90s, staying single throughout your 20s was socially acceptable.

I think he has some serious personality disorders.

Lol, yeah, probably!
