Hi! Just wanted to say that I'm really Sorry that John Kerry lost! I had a change of heart at the last minute and decided to vote for Kerry instead of Bush! I really hope Kerry runs again in 2008 or 2012! I will definitely Support him 100%

The only reason he voted against it was to protect the right to have an abortion. if he voted for this law, then anti abortion people could try to sue abortion clinics, using the law to say that they have committed a crime against a fetus. the only reason bush signed it is because he is against abortion.

i have a question. even if the law was passed, how would that make pregnant women any safer? I mean, it would be nice to ensure that. But just because a piece of paper says a pregnant woman needs to be safe, that isnt going to stop some sicko killer from murdering her, you know?

The Laci Peterson law is obviously made as an attempted strategy to ban abortions. By treating an unborn child as a developed child who already began experiencing life, they are trying to make the fetus have rights, that women don't deserve the right to choose because an unborn child has already been blessed by God or something. The law will not protect pregant women, murder is and always will be illegal. It's a shame they have to take advantage of a tragedy for their own advantage.

Unless you are going to take all the pregnant women (and women with children) away and keep them seperate from the rest of the world forever, then this seems completely pointless.
