A girl hero. Right. Lots of them through history. Right? Black deputy. Check off that quota box. Stupid boys, just to top things off. The perfect PC cartoon.

Elaborate, please. I am under the impression that you do not like the fact that the movie portrays a woman as daring and intelligent, while the boys are generally stupid and infatuated with her (at such an age when boys are NOT, in fact, generally infatuated with women to any degree).

I agree, after a fashion. The girls being annoyingly intelligent while the boys were either stupid or simple-minded was a bit much.
