...that the movie was too creepy looking to even watch? o_O
People say that about The Polar Express, but I dunno, the characters in Monster House--well some of them anyhow, like the creepy old guy at the start and one of the kids at the start. >_< Might just be me, but I couldn't watch after awhile.

My thoughts exactly! I saw it as a kid in theaters and I remember coming out scared as hell. I dont know what all these good reviews are for, I hated it.
shareI know what you mean. My mum and I were scared sheetless of this movie when it first came out, which, of course, made it so memorable AND enjoyable. We were both trembling with fear when we walked out of the theatre. It was on TV on Halloween this year, and I really wanted to watch it. I recorded it with Sky+, planning to watch it when I had more time. But the fact that I was so scared of it the first time put me off until just this afternoon. And you know what? It wasn't as scary as I remembered XD It's funny what six years can do.
