I'm thinking of watching this movie with my little brother (he's 8) but I heard it's really not for little kids. I even heard somebody say it should be rated PG-13. Can anyone explain why?

They ae overreacting. I'm sure, as they were kids (the adults, I mean), they would watch Jaws and Poltergeist, two films, I'm certain, are much more scarier than this.

I am so glad my parents weren't annoy privelaged folks who sheltered me and my sister.
They took me to see Jurassic Park when I was like 7 yrs old (when it was released). I loved it. It scared me and I loved it so much I still remember every single moment from that movie.
These days parents shelter their kids from everything. I mean, it has come to a point when women are going to UN and asking them to censor internet because people say mean things to them online ("Cyber Bullying" lol).
