Monster House or Hocus Pocus?

Which is the best movie to watch on Halloween? Which is the best movie overall?

I watched both movies on Halloween back-to-back (2006 of course), and I love them both. However, I would give the edge to Hocus pocus because it gives you a REAL Halloween feel - it takes place on Halloween, it has Halloween themes to it, like the witches and black cats and the ghoul, things like that. It's just such an INCREDIBLE MOVIE!!!!!

One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOVIES EVER (and I'm 21)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love both, but I'd choose Hocus Pocus because of the feel to it :) Monster House I only watched today, but it was good :D

(And BTW I'm 14!!)

I loved Hocus Pocus when I was younger but didn't enjoy it nearly as much when I bought it on dvd recently (now 20). I would say Monster House since I only just watched it today and I enjoyed it even at the age I am now.

i pick Hocus Pocus, that was a part of my childhood. Monster House had nothing to do with my childhood.

as much as I love Monster House, Hocus Pocus hands down dude! That is th eoriginal halloween movie from my childhood

Well I like them both but I definately prefer Hocus Pocus but that's probably because I've watched it every Halloween since I was little!

They are both among the dozen or so Halloween themed films aimed at the younger crowd that are nearly perfect for the setting.

Hocus Pocus. That movie still freaks me out, and I think it's darker than Monster House. They're both good scary fun, but Hocus Pocus evoked more emotion from me.

Hocus Pocus - I was around 12 when the movie came out and I related better to the characters. Plus Sarah Jessica Parker and Vinessa Shaw were hot in it.
