English title (wtf!)

That would be "hurray", not "hora". "Hora" is Swedish for "whore".

Hip hip hurra! is a celebration exclamation

Just watch the movie. The title is translated as good as possible. It is supposed to be "in your face".

And observe that it says "literal english title"

At the Montreal Film Festival, (www.ffm-montral.org) it was entitled "The Ketchup Effect" which seemed odd, but once the movie gets going, it made sense.

When I tried to translate this title for my husband, I told him it sounds more or less like "Hip, Hip, Ho-ray!". "Ho" as in "She's a ho".

The english title is "The Ketchup Effect". Not "Hip Hip Whore".
