I really want to see this film, having grown up in and around Wisconsin!!

shareHAHA this movie ROCKED!!! I live in Marinette/Menominee where this movie was filmed and it was wonderfully done we don't act like this here but it was wonderful in the spirit of Escanaba in da Moonlight it really did capture the hunting aspect of da UP great movie Highly suggested

Okay, I don't live in LA; I was born and raised a Hoosier and then lived in Chicago for awhile. I rented despite not liking Lauren Holly because the box mentioned that the music is by the BoDeans. While it certainly wasn't Oscar material, it was certainly worth the rental. And it definitely had an original point of view, which is more than can be said about most movies being produced these days. And perhaps the cheeseheads want to deny any similarities that exist between themselves and the characters, but I've met tons of guys like these--and not just in the midwest. Worth checking out.
shareFinally saw it. Made me really laugh in parts. Born and raised in Marinette, one of my best friends was an extra. Some might not want to admit it but there are people exactly like Jaker in Wisconsin and most likely elsewhere. That's why some may have a sore spot...
