Standard hollywood anti-white propaganda

More crap to justify continued affirmative action programs. All whites are evil.

It's BASED on a true story - That doesn't make it true. Why don't you think before you post crap... You probably believe everything about "Rudy" is true.

Yes but the fact that he started 5 black players is glossed over the fact the Jerry Armstrong never volunteered his starting position which the movie clearly shows. So why did he start five black players... if they weren't the best all season long... why start them in the championship game?

So why add a comment at all???? You come on a discussion board and make a claim/comment... then say I'm done when someone responds to you. Don't comment in the first place.

1) Yes you should have been more clear

2) And your refute was "It was (based) on a true story and Do you homework before posting crap" How does that refute his point?

3)If you truly understand some license was taken... then you should understand that the license taken might mean that part of the movie is untrue and someone could argue it's "stand Hollywood anti-white propaganda"

4)You're not going to argue what license was taken????? That's the whole point of the OP's post - was that Hollywood took a true story and tweaked it into something else - something that didn't happen.

5) Well thats part of the discussion... That one player was good enough to start the entire season and then not good enough to start in the championship game - because why????

6)What discussion... You wanted to come make a post bashing the OP for their post but now don't want(or can't) defend your post????

7)Ya whatever

Kind of like when the comedian, Mitch Hedberg said "I like when they say a movie is inspired by a true story, because that's weird; it means the movie is not a true story, it was just inspired by a true story. Like, hey Mitch, did you hear the story about that lady who drove her children into the river and they all drowned? Yes I did, and it inspired me to write a movie about a gorilla!"

Don Haskins was a white coach.
In this film, he was not portrayed as evil.
Therefore, your statement that the film preaches "All whites are evil" is 100% refuted.

Funny that, isn't it? There was NO anti white propaganda from Hollywood (a white owned establishment) in this film yet this guy decides to jump to that conclusion just because a few whites in the film are bad and others are good.
Now you get a LITTLE IDEA of how minorities have felt for YEARS at the amount of films which ACTUALLY HAVE portrayed them negatively but when they complain - they are playing the race card or they are too sensitive. Now it's the other way (and, to be honest - IT WASN'T) you suddenly feel insulted and want to complain.
Boot on thr other foot - see how it feels !

Actually the movie props up the same tired white savior propaganda we are continually force fed. For some reason, Harry Flournoy was depicted as a down-and-out factory worker given this spectacular opportunity to attend school by a white coach who saw him playing b-ball on a grimy neighborhood court. That's so far from the truth it's laughable. Harry was recruited straight out of high school despite the best efforts of his racist coach who hid (75+) of his scholarship letters from predominately white schools. If he didn't play ball, Harry was still going to college. He didn't need Haskins to save him. His three younger siblings, who were not athletes, also graduated from post-secondary schools.
